RARE 1938 SNOW WHITE &SEVEN DWARFS DOLLS. KNICKERBOCKER TOY Co DISNEY -Bros GRIMM

" America's Premier Line of Stuffed Toys - WALT DISNEY'S SNOW WHITE and the SEVEN DWARFS " (This is printed on the back side of the Original Maker's Tag). ALL OF THESE DOLLS HAVE A HARD COMPOSITION MATERIAL BODY - LEGS, FACE, BELLIES, HANDS, etc. THE DWARFS ALL STAND UP ON THEIR OWN. THEIR ARMS ARE JOINTED AT THE SHOULDERS SO THEIR ARMS ARE POSABLE.

EACH OF THE PRICELESS EXPRESSIONS HAVE BEEN PAINTED ON THE DWARFS TO MATCH THEIR FUN NAMES. SNOW WHITE BENDS AT THE WAIST AND CAN SIT UP WHEN PROPPED BEHIND HER BACK. SHE HAS "SLEEP EYES WITH EYELASHES" - HER EYELIDS OPEN/CLOSE AS YOU MOVE HER FROM UPRIGHT to LYING DOWN POSITIONS.

SNOW WHITE HAS A BODY-LENGTH PINK SILK AND LIGHT GREEN FELT-TOP GOWN. THEY ALL HAVE THEIR SHOES AND ON SNOW WHITE'S SHOES ARE METAL SNAPS AND BUCKLES WITH WHITE LACE SOCKS (ONE IS TORN). SHE HAS LINEN UNDERGARMENTS AND HER FAMOUS 1/2 CAPE BEHIND HER HEAD. I BELIEVE THEY ALL HAVE COLORFUL VELVETTY MATERIAL (SOME CALL IT VELVETEEN) IN THEIR CLOTHING AND AND THE DWARFS HAVE LEATHER BELTS WITH METAL BUCKLES.

THESE DOLLS ARE THE EIGHT ADORABLE LEADING CAST MEMBERS OF THE DECEMBER 21,1937 RELEASED ANIMATION MOVIE - WALT DISNEY, PRODUCER. THE ORIGINAL WRITERS of this Famous tale - The Brothers GRIMM - (Wilhelm and Jacob) This tale was one of their many, exciting Grimms' Fairy Tales. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

CONDITION : FIRST OF ALL - THESE DOLLS ARE CIRCA 82 YEARS OF AGE - SO TO FIND THESE TREASURES AT A RECENT NEW ENGLAND ESTATE SALE WAS MIND BOGGLING - AND CONSIDERING THAT DOLLS, ESPECIALLY BACK IN THE DAYS BEFORE CELL PHONES AND VIDEO GAMES, WERE REALLY PLAYED WITH!

BASED ON THEIR VINTAGE AGE, I BELIEVE THEY SHOULD BE RATED AS: OVERALL IN GOOD CONDITION. THERE ARE NO CHIPS, NO CRACKS, OR SIGNS OF EARLIER REPAIRS. I DID CHECK THEIR "SKIN" - THE HARD COMPOSITE TYPE, AND UNDER HIGH MAGNIFICATION OF A MAGNIFYING LOOP- I CAN SEE, COMMON -IN-ANTIQUES, TINY CRAZING.

ARE THEY WORN OR DIRTY? - YES IN THE EXPECTED AREAS- SOME OF THE DWARFS' FINGERS AND SNOW WHITE'S ARMS ARE DIRTY FROM PLAY. I CHOOSE NOT TO APPLY ANY CLEANSER- THAT DECISION, RESPECTFULLY BELONGS TO THE NEW OWNER. AS TO BE EXPECTED - THE BEARDS AND SNOW WHITE'S THICK BLACK HAIR COULD USE A LITTLE BIT OF COMBING/ GROOMING.

SNOW WHITE'S DRESS HAS A HOLE THE SIZE OF A QUARTER IN THE BACKSIDE AND HER GLASS EYES ARE "GLASSY/FOGGY". PLEASE SEE MY PHOTOS FOR DETAILS OF THE GOOD CONDITION AND NOTED ISSUES. All items are described to the best of my ability.
