Retired - Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs Lamp - MINT CONDITION. The sculptural part of this lamp is rendered in high quality, hand-painted resin, and is retired with a limited number of examples in the hands of Disney collectors.
There are very few of them left out there that are brand new, like this one. Snow White poses, with a hopeful expression, with her seven little friends, who each express the personality of their names in the piece: Sneezy, Sleepy, Grumpy, Dopey, Happy, Doc, and Bashful. I've photographed the piece in two different lighting environments so you can see how different it looks depending how how you display it: 1 Dim ambient light, except for the lamp's own light 2 Daylight with the lamp's light off.
The white power cord can be hidden behind the piece with a little creativity, but I left it visible in the photos so that you can see where the cord emerges from the lamp. If you notice any small white dots in the photos, they're likely just tiny bits of styrofoam from the packaging that can be easily removed. This piece is 17 tall and is brand new, in the box, with all original packing materials. The piece was only removed from the box to inspect and photograph it and is in brand new condition. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is a 1937 American animated musical fantasy film produced by Walt Disney Productions and originally released by RKO Radio Pictures.
Based on the 1812 German fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm, it is the first full-length cel animated feature film and the earliest Disney animated feature film. Despite Walt Disney's critics who considered an animated feature-length film to be an impossible endeavor and referred to the project as "Disney's Folly, " the film was a tremendous critical success, with many reviewers hailing it as a genuine work of art, recommended for both children and adults. Although film histories often state that the animation of the human characters was criticized, more recent scholarship finds that most reviewers praised the realistic style of the human animation, with several stating that audiences will forget that they are watching animated humans rather than real ones. At the 11th Academy Awards, the film won an Academy Honorary Award for Walt Disney as a significant screen innovation which has charmed millions and pioneered a great new entertainment field. Disney received a full-size Oscar statuette and seven miniature ones, presented to him by 10-year-old child actress Shirley Temple. The film was also nominated for Best Musical Score."Some Day My Prince Will Come" has become a jazz standard that has been performed by numerous artists, including Buddy Rich, Lee Wiley, Oscar Peterson, Frank Churchill, and Oliver Jones. Albums by Miles Davis, by Wynton Kelly, and Alexis Cole. This item is in the category "Collectibles\Disneyana\Contemporary (1968-Now)\Housewares\Lamps".
